LIVES were lost when three young siblings perished in a fire that broke out in a residential area in Sitio Mabapo, Bayabas Street, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City on Saturday morning, March 29.
The blaze started at 8:51 a.m. in a house owned by Junrel Abella and occupied by Ynica Marie Siaboc, who lived there with four others.
Her children, Sachzna Lexy, 6, Razan Kyle, 4, and Athena Lexy, 3, were trapped inside and died before help could arrive.

The fire spread through the neighborhood, destroying 20 houses and partially damaging five others across an estimated 500 square meters of residential space.
Property damage was placed at around P750,000.
Adones Avergedo, 41, sustained a concussion in the right side of his torso and was taken to the hospital.
