CRIZ Matunog made a lot of noise in leading Color Series to an 87-78 thumping of Nation Paints in the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 3rd Boysen Cup 2025 over the weekend at Game Changer in Mandaue City.

Matunog toyed with his defenders and shot 13-of-23 from the field for a 35-point eruption that helped Color Series snag its second win in three games.

Adding four rebounds and two steals, Matunog was backed by Kimboy Marilao, who collected 11 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.

Nation Paints, which suffered its first defeat after starting the tournament with back-to-back wins, was led by Ayi Armenion, who piled up 20 points and 12 rebounds.

In the other game, Titan Superflex notched its second win in three outings by nosing out Virtuoso, 81-79.

Chester Hinagdanan topped Titan wiht 17 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks. Kurt Damandaman pitched in 16 points and 11 rebounds while Lemuel Aspacio and Carlos Baltar added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

John Therese Buhawe scored 17 points in Virtuoso’s second defeat in three games.

On the other hand, Healthy Home hiked its record to 2-1 by thrashing Knoxout, 100-68.

Anthony Bajenting led the way for Health Home with 29 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Mark Paradero had 23 points in the win that saw Healthy Home lead by as many as 40 points.

Zach Elisha Go fired 16 points but Knoxout stayed winless after three outings.(CCM)
