VICE President Sara Duterte has higher trust and performance ratings than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. according to the 2025 fourth-quarter survey from OCTA Research.
The survey was conducted from December 16 to 20 and shows a drop in support for the President. His trust rating fell from 57 percent in September to 48 percent in December.
The number of people who distrust him rose from 25 percent to 31 percent. People who are undecided about trusting him also increased to 22 percent.
Marcos' performance rating went down from 54 percent to 51 percent. Dissatisfaction with his work grew slightly to 27 percent.
On the other hand, Duterte continues to have the trust and satisfaction of most Filipinos. Her trust rating increased from 51 percent in September to 53 percent in December. Those who distrust her rose slightly to 26 percent.
The number of undecided respondents dropped from 26 percent to 21 percent. Her satisfaction rating grew by five points from 49 percent to 54 percent. People dissatisfied with her performance rose to 28 percent.
The remaining 18 percent of respondents were undecided. These survey results were released while both leaders face impeachment complaints.(Jhon Mark A. Aboabo, USJR Comm Intern)
