ASPIRING lawyers have put down their pens — or rather, their keyboards — as the 2025 Bar examinations closed yesterday, with results slated for release in early January 2026.
The three-day digital and regionalized exams opened on Sept. 7, continued on Sept. 10, and wrapped up on Sept. 14.
Criminal Law was tackled in the final morning session, while Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics, and Practical Exercises were covered in the afternoon.
The Supreme Court (SC) reported that of the 11,437 examinees who took the first day, 11,429 returned for the second day.
The oath-taking and signing of the Roll of Attorneys are tentatively scheduled for February 2026, following the release of results.
To ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, the SC deployed 2,389 personnel across 14 local testing centers nationwide.
The 2025 Bar examinations continue the judiciary’s shift to a fully digitalized and regionalized format, designed to make the tests more accessible and equitable for aspiring lawyers across the country.(MyTVCebu)
