A US tech company has lost two of its top executives following the online circulation of a controversial Coldplay concert clip.

Kristin Cabot has resigned as chief people officer of Astronomer, the company confirmed in a statement sent to BBC.

Cabot’s resignation came a week after Andy Byron, the company's former CEO, resigned following Astronomer’s announcement that he would be placed on leave pending an investigation.

While US media identified Cabot and Byron as the persons featured in a kiss cam moment at a Coldplay concert, the BBC has not independently confirmed their identities.

The controversial video shows a man and woman embracing on the arena’s jumbo screen before quickly ducking out of view.

After seeing the pair trying to hide from the camera, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin quipped: "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."

As the video went viral online, Astronomer, without specifying the clip, released a statement announcing that it is conducting an investigation while its CEO placed on leave.

The next day, Astronomer announced that Byron had resigned.(Hilary Natalie Berongoy, HNU Comm Intern)
