Cebu keeps winning, blows out Bacolod

COMING off a 47-point win, the Cebu Greats scored another one-sided victory as they trampled the Bacolod MassKara, 97-67, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2026 Season on Thursday, July 9, at the Bacoor Strike Gym in Bacoor City.

After dumping the Negros Hacienderos, 124-77, last Monday, July 6, Cebu cruised anew and stretched their winning streak to seven that hiked their record to 14-3 (win-loss).

The Greats have been on a terrific rhythm ahead of their two-game homestand.

Playing in just his second game with Cebu, Limuel Tampus powered the 30-point victory by collecting 12 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Cebu actually trailed after 10 minutes of play, 20-23, but seized control by outscoring Bacolod in the second period, 26-10.

Mark Meneses top scored for Cebu with a game-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block. Jun Manzo added 13 points while Ron Dennison contributed 10 markers.

Desmond Price scored 18 points to lead Bacolod, which slumped to 3-16.
