IT’S BACK to five-day workweek in Daanbantayan, Cebu starting Mpnday, May 11.

Mayor Giblert Arrabis Jr., issued an Executive Order (EO) mandating the resumption of the five-day work schedule from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday in all of its offices in the municipal hall and other government facilities.

“The return to regular office operations is expected to enhance efficiency in public transactions, strengthen inter-office coordination, and provide more responsive and continuous services to the public,” Arrabis said.

The EO was issued following the implementation of the four-day work arrangement of the local government unit as a mitigating measure amid the rising cost of fuel and economic crisis caused by the tension in the Middle East.

During the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, Arrabis said that despite the resumption of the regular work operations, employees are still encouraged to practice energy saving measures.

He said air-conditioning units must be turned off from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Several LGUs including the Cebu Provincial Government have already returned to the original five-day work arranagement.

Gov. Pamela Baricuatro has issued an EO ending the four-day work week and reverting to five days regular operations in all of the Capitol's building and government facilities.(MyTVCebu)
