IT’S back-to-back championships for Jotun after it nipped Boysen, 95-86, in Game 2 of their best-of-three finals of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 7th Corporate Cup on Sunday, Sept. 28, at The Game Changer in Mandaue City.
Manned by United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Sugbu Chapter, Jotun duplicated its 83-77 Game 1 win to sweep the series, 2-0, and complete a perfect run as it did not taste a single loss on its way to defending its title. The squad went 7-0 in the classification round before going 5-0 in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
Chester Hinagdanan showed the way for Jotun by piling up 23 points, five assists, three steals, and two rebounds. Philip Alegado chipped in 19 points and six rebounds. Dex Caadan added 14 points, seven boards, and four assists.
Kim Rebosura fired a game-high 25 points for Boysen. He also had six rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Carlos Baltar and Alfredo Sanchez scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, while Joseph Cabigas tossed in 11 markers.
