LANDLITE shook up the team standings after it took out previously undefeated Boysen Paints, 97-88, in the continuing action of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup over the weekend at the Game Changer Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Boysen came into the match looking to solidify its hold on the solo top spot. Landlite, however, had other things in mind, coming away with a victory that forged a four-way logjam at the No. 1 spot.

Landlite, Boysen, SR & T Industrial Supply, and EZ Pavers now all sport 3-1 (win-loss) in what is shaping up to be a tight race to the top.

Landlite used a balanced attack to seal the win with Melvin Austria tallying 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Jay Devenadera collected 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a blockJoseph Layar, Khey Loo, and Ian Ed Lapina all scored in double figures with 16, 15, and 10 points, respectively.

Leading Boysen was Aspacio, who piled up 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Edilberto Sanchez and Reddick Palmitos added 19 and 18 points, respectively.

SR & T Industrial Supply managed to earn a piece of the lead by nailing 92-84 win over Corr Chem.

Philip Bryan Alegado topped SR & T with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Criz Matunog chipped 18 points and seven rebounds.

Corr Chem slid to 1-3.

EZ Pavers, on the other hand, tripped Peralta Design Services-Elite Athletics, 101-94, which enabled them to raise its record to 3-1.(CCM)
