IN A mighty display of offensive artillery, the Memphis Grizzlies set a franchise-record for most points in a game and blew out the Toronto Raptors, 155-126, on Friday (Philippine time), December 27.
Memphis’ total output is its highest in team history and is also the most by an NBA team this season.
The Grizzlies achieved the feat despite having no player scoring more than 21 points.
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 21 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks while Zach Edey threw in 21 points and 16 boards.
Desmond Bane added 19 points, Jaylen Wells scored 17, and Ja Morant had 15 points and nine assists as Memphis bounced back from a 110-114 upset loss to the LA Clippers to improve to 21-10 (win-loss).
The seven Memphis players with at least 15 points also tied for the most in a game in NBA history.
RJ Barrett led the Raptors with 27 points, and Scottie Barnes added 26. Chris Boucher finished with 15 markers but the Raptors fell to 1-14 on the road.
Toronto has now lost its last seven games and dropped to 7-24 in the season. (CCM)
