SR & T, Landlite continue to pile up wins in CABC hoops

SR & T Industrial Supply and Landlite forged a two-way tie atop the standings after they nipped separate opponents in the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup over the weekend at the Game Changer Sports Complex in Mandaue City.

Both improving to 5-1 (win-loss), SR & T took down Boysen Paints, 78-67, while Landlite demolished Davies Paints, 57-40.

Chester Hinagdanan powered SR & T with a solid 22-point, 13-rebound, two-assist, two-steals performance. Hinagdanan was ably backed by Criz Matunog, who dropped 19 markers.

Boysen fell to 4-2 despite a balanced scoring. Lemuel Aspacio and Justin Aspacio led Boysen with 22 points each while Pido Sanchez collected 19 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

Landlite, meanwhile, leaned on Genre Soriano and Winston Pedaria, who scored 13 and 12 markers, respectively.

Charles Dave Villasencio tallied 14 markers and Jeffrey Basallo scored 12 points for Davies Paints, which slumped to 1-5.

In another game, Corr Chem dealt Elite Athletics another defeat via a 74-65 decision.

Jyrell Allanic led Corr Chem with 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block. Kent Tauto-an and James Nacario added 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Joefar Gerundio had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Elite Athletics, which stayed winless after six games.

In another match, EZ Pavers defeated Modern Windows, 102-93, to improve to 4-2.(CCM)
