Streaking Cebu clobbers Sarangani in MPBL

HIGH-LEAPING Mark Meneses produced big numbers to lead the streaking Cebu Greats to 109-94 thrashing of the Sarangani 10ACT Marlins in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2026 Season on Wednesday, May 13, at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Meneses came away with 25 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks as Cebu pocketed a third straight win to improve to 5-2 (win-loss).

Wowie Escosio, Kint Ariar, Simon Camacho, Dhon Reverente, and Paul Desiderio also delivered for Cebu, which was coming off back-to-back wins against Imus Yangkee and 1Bataan Riders.

Escosio tallied 14 points and nine rebounds while Aria piled up 14 points, three boards, and two assists. Camacho wound up with nine points and 10 rebounds, Reverente added nine markers and seven boards , and Desiderio contributed nine points.

Sarangani suffered a fifth straight loss despite getting 22 points and six rebounds from Danny Marilao.

Leland Etascio chalked up 17 points, three assists, and two rebounds while Yvan Ludovice had 15 markers, four assists, and two boards for the Marlins, who slid to 1-5.

Cebu will to keep its streak going when it battles Zamboanga Sikat on May 19 also in Caloocan.(CCM)
