STRONG Group Athletics (SGA) banked on a hot perimeter shooting to demolish Japan, 107-86, in the 2026 William Jones Cup in Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei City on Tuesday night, Aug. 19.

SGA shot 55.9 percent from the field, including a superb 64.1 percent clip from the two-point zone in a blistering outside sniping that allowed them to lead by as many as 30 points.

The blowout victory was SGA's third straight, stringing up consecutive wins after droppping its opening assignment against KBL team Wonju DB Promy, 79-110.

Isaiah Pineiro led the way for SGA with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field. Tajuan Agee put in 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks while Remy Martin threw in 13 points and five rebounds and three assists. DJ Fenner tallied 12 points, and Matthew Wright had 10 points for SGA, which moved to second place in Pool A with a 3-1 (win-loss) slate.

Wakugawa Hayato sank five triples to lead Japan with 26 points. Arai Gakuto added 17.
