THERE was no denying Carlos Yulo this time.

The diminutive double Olympic gold medallist delivered a masterful performance to rule the vault finals of the 2025 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Yulo scored 14.866 to win the gold, producing his second medal in the tournament after snatching bronze in the floor exercise last Friday.

Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan took the silver with 14.833 while Nazar Chepurnyi pocketed bronze 14.483.

It was a bounce-back performance for the 25-year-old Yulo after he fell short in the floor exercise, which was actually his pet event but he scored just 14.533 points off 8.633 in execution and 5.900 in difficulty.

Snaring the gold medal was Great Britain Jake Jarman with 14.866. Another Brit went home with the silver Luke Whitehouse tallied 14.666.

It was some sort of redemption for Jarman as he managed just bronze in the same event at the Paris Olympics. The event was ruled by Yulo, who went on to win two historic gold medals in the global spectacle.(CCM)
