Baby Webmasters, Baby Wildcats rout foes

THE University of Cebu (UC)-Main Baby Webmasters and the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Baby Wildcats came away with lopsided victories in the CESAFI Season 26 secondary basketball tournament on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Baby Webmasters pounded the Don Bosco Greywolves, 105-68, while Baby Wildcats whipped the San Roque College de Cebu Greyhounds, 103-59.

It was UC’s second win in three games while CIT-U snatched its third victory against one loss.

The Greywolves crashed to 0-3 (win-loss) the Greyhounds suffered a second straight loss to fall to 1-2.

Jade Bialan carried UC on his shoulders by piling up 25 points, 15 rebounds, five blocked shots, two assists, and a steal. Also scoring in double figures for UC were Gamaliel Chaz de la Peña, Jay Xander Bulagsak, and Mark Jovil Datoon, who produced 14, 12, and 10 markers, respectively.

DBTC also had four players but it wasn’t enough to avoid the blowout defeat.

Richard Mark Abrigo Jr. paced the Greywolves with 14 points, Mychael Bourge Suico scored 12, Seb Andrew Loreno contributed 11, and Zane Oddyssie Ondoy chipped in 10.

Leading CIT-U were Skeril Miez Basilisco and Peter James Brobo, who both posted double-double performances.

Basilisco racked up 19 points and 11 boards to go with five steals, one assist, and a block while Brobo finished with 17 points, 10 boards, three assists, and one steal.

Francis Angelo Dosdos and Geoffe Vhon Partosa added 11 points each in the victory in which the Baby Wildcats posted leads as big as 52.

Anthony Ross Luche produced a game-high 29 points but no other Greyhound scored in double figures.(CCM)
