CEBUANO spitfire Mac Tallo will be leading a Manila Melmac team that is making a return to the global FIBA World 3x3 circuit.

Tallo is joined in the team by Matthew Salem, Christian Manaytay, and Beninese import Adeshokan Odou. Coached by Mau Belen and Chico Lanete, the squad was presented to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) on Thursday, July 24.

Manila Melmac is set to compete in the FIBA 3x3 Jakarta Challenger set for July 26 to 27. As part of its preparations, the squad participated in the recent 2025 Halfcourt Courtside Fair held at Okada Manila where it scored a clean sweep by beating Baguio Highlanders, Taho Story, and the host squad Okada Manila.

In Jakarta, Tallo, the country’s former No. 1 ranked 3x3 player, and his team will go up against Spain’s Mataro and Romania’s Bucharest Stiinta in the qualifying round for a chance to enter the main draw.

A successful campaign in the Jakarta Challenge will allow Manila Melmac to compete in the Lausanne Masters happening in August in Switzerland.(CCM)
