Tallido sizzles for 41 points to lift EGS over Fenestram in AEBA caging

DAFYDD June Tallido put on a stellar offensive show to lead EGS Surveying to a 98-81 dumping of Fenestram in the Architects and Engineers Basketball Association (AEBA) 9th Corporate Cup over the weekened at the University of San Carlos (USC) Downtown Campus Gym in Cebu City.

EGS showed up with just five available players but the handicap hardly mattered as Tallido took matters into his own hands behind a hot shooting performance.

Tallido went 15-for-17 from the two-point zone and 3-of-7 from three-point territory for a 41-point explosion. He also had three rebounds and three assists as EGS nailed just its second win in seven games.

Juan Dela Torre was also a huge factor in the win after pumping in 29 points and 12 rebounds.Zuriel Andre Dunque added 14 points and 14 rebounds while Scott Aying contributed 10 markers.

Neil Tiempo tallied 20 points, while Michael Neri and Patrick Paran each had 14 for Fenestram, which suffered its seventh straight loss.

In another game, Johnro Electrical stayed atop the standings by pulling off a 92-80 win over Davies Paints.

Paolo Munez fired 25 points to lead Johnro Electrical, which improved to 6-1 (win-loss).

Davies Paints dropped to 3-4.

In other games, Avantrac nosed out RELLM Engineering, 89-87, Sports & Play dumped CBM Engineering, 81-78, while Dextructures sank Sinclaire, 89-82.(CCM)
